ABOUT THE EVENT

The San Francisco International Wine Competition is the largest, most influential international wine competition in America, judged by a prestigious panel of nationally recognized wine experts.  Judging is based on a blind, consensual procedure. Again this year, the Competition will be held at the celebrated Hotel Nikko in San Francisco.  The three day event will be held on June 13th, 14th and 15th 2008 and deadline for entries is May 23.  

The Competition marked its 27th anniversary in 2007 with forty-seven judges reviewing over 4,000 wines. Entries came from 1,071 wineries, 27 states, and 21 countries and  2,728 of these wines were awarded Double Gold, Gold, Silver or Bronze medals.
